Sneaky Way To Earn From Product Launches

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there are quite a few launches that offer second tier affiliate commissions.

This means that when someone signs up to be an affiliate through your second-tier link, you’ll receive a small portion of their sales.

The trick, obviously, is getting affiliates to sign up from your links. Here’s how you do it:

Set up a site that you update weekly or more often. It’s going to be a roundup of all the upcoming launches (that happen to have a second-tier program in place.)

Watch Clickbank, Warrior, JVZoo and other sites to find these second-tier launches.

Make your site look good, and give it an official sounding name.

Give the links to each launch, so when an affiliate joins, you earn a portion of the commission on their sales.

Let your subscribers know each time the site is updated.

Your target market is generally going to be new marketers who aren’t all that comfortable finding products on their own to promote. You’re helping them, and in return you’re making some extra money. Not enough to get rich, but it’s a good side income and only takes a few hours each week to update.

You can offer free admission to your ‘private’ site in exchange for a signup to your email list – and the site becomes your lead magnet.

BONUS: Also put up a link to each sales page, which just happens to be your own affiliate link. This way your visitors and new affiliates get cookied in, and if they purchase, you make the commission.

Internet Marketing – What is the Difference Between Selling and Promoting

How would your mood change if you were out just taking a leisurely walk. Someone gets in your face and rudely shoves a flyer or brochure at you, pushing their agenda. You can’t really pass them without knocking them down. They force you to see or listen to their sales pitch. Are you feeling receptive yet? Hardly. This sounds completely unpleasant and ‘pressure’ like this is never recommended. It does not encourage someone to cooperate with you and quite the opposite they may become ‘resistant’.

stay on the right track
The other obviously totally obnoxious sales strategy is when you answer your phone and either a person or a robot starts shouting a long diatribe about whatever their agenda is – sales, charity, or survey. (who listens). They do not stop as they spill out their script. The only way to stop it is to either just hang up or you literally have to shout ‘Stop! Not interested’ after they ignore all your polite, ‘no thank you’s’. Have these folks put you in the mood to buy in this atmosphere? Closer to phone slamming time especially since more than likely you have gotten several ‘appeals’ of this nature several times every day.

On the other hand, Internet Marketing is very different from other more intrusive mediums for marketing and sales. It is still sales and marketing, but on a very different level. You have the ability to not listen or not read whatever it is without getting in an altercation. Professional Internet marketers actually use a strategy called ‘ethical, permission-based eMail marketing’. This is where you do not contact anyone unless they request it (“opt-in).

The difference between selling and promoting is selling is trying to convince someone they want or need something you have, whether or not they are interested. Promoting is sharing information and then allowing the prospect to make a decision. Approaching someone who has expressed an interest has people coming to you and not you chasing them down. See the different dynamic?

Internet Marketing strategy is to build trust and relationship, by for one thing giving away information for free. Then if the person wants to know more, they come to you because they trust you. They may even feel subliminally that they owe you the business if they are convinced they need or want what you are selling. They appreciate that you tried to help them without any obligation.

When people consider you a winner, they want to know more about what you are doing. It is not you pushing it to where you can cause them to resist just because you are exhausting them. Give them a chance to think even if it requires a call-back. If you insist it has to be right now, then it may be never. Try to conduct a friendly transaction. They say people are much more likely to do business with a friend or acquaintance than just someone out of the blue. Remember to create a friendly atmosphere of trust before you try to sell something.

Internet Marketing – Is Free Always Good?

There are various ways that individuals receive free resources and gifts. For example from affiliate marketing programs. Many are wise enough to feel fortunate to have whatever ‘leg up’ they can get. Besides the financial benefit, it may have a positive effect on their mindset that someone is helping. Some realize they actually may have just saved $100s or even $1000s in development and start-up costs to create their home business. These folks have the best intentions and will likely make good use of what has been provided usually free of charge for affiliates.

Free!
However sometimes it appears people really do not know what they have been given. This could be because they don’t know how much something would cost them if they were to develop something themselves. With this group, often once the ‘high’ of joining the program and getting all the prizes is over, they are not really interested to see what would happen if they actually take action. They really don’t want to do any work and in fact what appealed to them was only free, easy, and today. They thought that because everything was free so far that the program would also get the traffic, leads and sales for them.

Once in a while there may be a total disconnect because someone may not trust the fact that some things are actually ‘free’. Then they expect to find out what it really costs. They may also stubbornly refuse to spend any money, not being a good sport to support a company that has been an advantage to them. They are only interested in a business that is totally free. What they are really saying is that is all it is worth to them = $000. These are often the same ones who also do not work for free (even for themselves) to build a home business. The only funny part is then they can’t understand why they failed except to blame the program.

It seems really stupid when someone can’t actually appreciate what they have been given, and without acknowledging that it has any value. For some reason they feel it is more logical for them to pretend it is nothing because it is free. They can’t stand obligation or feeling that they owe someone. Everything just goes to waste. They are absolved of all responsibility to appreciate it.

Maybe they at least make a shallow effort to look everything over. Cold feet? They pronounce that it’s not an option because it still (will) cost too much money, require too much work, or won’t have instant profit, (will take time to develop). Some just can’t understand how to get started even with instructions. For some reason they just give up right off the bat. It’s no big loss since it was free anyway.

Maybe it is just true that Internet marketing, or affiliate marketing are just not for everyone. We are all different and it is definitely no disgrace if you just can’t relate to this even for free. There is no shame and in fact it had some value that at least they made a tiny effort to see what it would involve.

Maybe years from now, when things may be different, you will try again. In the future, you may be able to do something that before seemed unachievable. You might try and fail 10 times before you get to the right time and opportunity for you. Just don’t give up.

The Perfect Online Home Business May be Affiliate Marketing

Especially if you want to see what having a home business is all about, affiliate marketing may be the easiest, fastest and least expensive way to start a business from home. A few points that demonstrate these facts are that the program will provide free a web page to use to advertise on day one of your membership. No real technical skills are required. Do you need to estimate how long it would take you to learn how to program a website, or how much it would cost to have it done for you?

affiliate marketing is best
While an ‘affiliate sales page’ is usually not a website where you can change and customize it, it is a link address that is ready to advertise from day one and really may earn you some commissions when you have done sufficient advertising. There is virtually no wasting time. Just having access to this major tool will give you a huge step up that allows you plenty of time to focus on earning commissions. (which is the point).

Even more critical is having a product to sell without spending years in development , testing and market research. A huge reason that affiliate programs rock, is that they have already spent the time and money to develop either tangible or digital products.

Part of your membership in the program gives you license to profit from their intellectual properties. You can earn a percent of the sale price without investing half your life. In addition you can also earn money for referring others to the business opportunity. You probably figured it would cost a lot more money to start a business and skills you do not have.

It is assumed you have a good computer and reliable Internet connectivity. This is the foundation of your “business in a box”. Beyond that necessary equipment, your expense as well as effort will be largely focused on advertising and marketing to promote your business. There are some expenses associated with this, however you will quickly see how much less expensive it is to do anything on the Internet. Just compare any action you may take offline to the same thing online.

The relationship of the affiliate program and the member is one of that is a perfect exchange all around. The member receives the right to earn money from the program and to use various resources available free to members to help them such as banners/images encoded with their affiliate ID, maybe even some Internet marketing tools such as an autoresponder and/or content to use in email marketing.

In return the member advertises the business. This means the program will spend less on the advertising so there is a fair exchange. All the affiliates will need to do if they want to earn commissions is use everything they have been provided with as aggressively as they are able.

Business is Totally About Marketing and Advertising

Particularly with online business there seems to be an image of people who sign up for a program or two and spend a few hours max seeing what is going on there. They may read some of the documentation, and/or watch a video – sort of just ‘kick the tires’. Hopefully they bookmark their affiliate link for the program. Then that’s it.

show it

They don’t seem to grasp the fact that nothing is going to happen now unless they do something with everything that has been provided to them. It can’t just sit there on their PC and in their member back office. The next step is definitely to find out what some effective methods are to market and advertise the link and use the other graphics and images that may have been provided.

This can range from suggestions and/or resources from the company that may include autoresponders (eMail marketing), list builders, safelists, solo ads, etc. You may already know blogging and article marketing in forums and social networks are powerful free strategies to get your links exposed in a discreet way without being a blatant spammer. (Tell a story – provide some value and then approach them with your link).

It can also include any other ideas that you may have (note: ‘ideas’ how good are they? How old are they? What are the results?). Ever hear of people getting actual results in the last decade? Sometimes it really doesn’t pay to do anything with old information at least until you have seen and used what the current ‘ideas’ may be since they have a more recent track record. Then by all means use everything possible at your disposal. You never know.

With any business – offline they principally depend on foot traffic and maybe hard copy ads etc., to get the word out about their company and products. Online there is very many more inexpensive and even free ways to attract traffic to your website, affiliate web page, blog or wherever you are displaying your affiliate link.

The point is do not sit and do nothing while you wait for someone to magically discover your affiliate links. Remember there are millions of links on the Internet and unless you are doing sufficient advertising and marketing to get your pages ranked in the search engines and/or otherwise visible to people, it is not likely you are going to get far.

An online home business is on your terms but it is still a business and there is work to be done if you want to succeed!

Be Sure to Get the Whole Story

Before passing Judgment on a business or even a person, be sure that you know more than what is apparent. Things could be going on behind the scenes that explain perfectly why something has or has not transpired as originally indicated that it would. I think we all know that some unexpected things can happen that we have no control over.

find out the real story

There is sometimes nothing we can do but live with it and hope our friends will still believe in us in spite of it. Really there shouldn’t be such a big difference between a customer and a friend from either side. There should be a degree of trust and tolerance. On the one hand the person should be as transparent with you as possible to explain what exactly happened.

However on the other hand let’s talk about professionalism. Sometimes people can’t be perfectly honest because they are protecting someone or something else’s reputation. No excuse to cover up a crime of any kind no matter who it is, but just in general business circumstances. It also becomes a different, intolerable story if there is always some excuse especially where money is directly involved.

Think of all the people who may have invested themselves and their money in a business. If you ruin the reputation of a business without good reason you may essentially be hurting innocent people and their ability to succeed with that business. So before you do any harm, be sure that you really know what is going on and/or the reasoning behind the change.

For an example let’s say you have a program that is lately constantly not available online. This can get really maddening for one thing and for another it can become suspicious. That is why it is a good idea for the principals to get an email out there explaining the situation as far as they can. ‘We have a problem, we are working on a resolution, and we apologize for the inconvenience’.

However what if they don’t know what the problem is? What if it is some tiny obscure piece of hardware that has burned out and they haven’t discovered where it is? You can’t fix your problem unless you know what it is. It may take a few tries of having experts look at it before you identify it and can start to work on it. Then you tear it all down and put it all back together and hope you didn’t have to order parts from Timbuktu. It’s not instant.

You are doing everything you can but it is just not working. Be sure to keep emailing your people to assure them that you are actively engaged in finding a solution. If you can it might be a really good idea to create a video or hold a webinar so that people don’t feel like ‘oh wow I am paying for this program and can’t even get in’. Try to think of things you can do to keep them from going off the deep end while you fix your problem.

Internet Marketing – How to Believe in What You Sell

There are a few good reasons to use the products or services that you are selling. The greatest reason is because that way you really can believe in what you are saying because you know it to be a fact. This goes such a long way – much farther than so-called ‘testimonials’ from others.

Believe it!

Another good reason to use the products you are selling is that when you have sold a certain amount then you can feel that you have paid for your own through those sales, versus taking the money out of your pocket. You often see ads that say ‘buy two get one free’ and ‘sell three yours is free’. Whether purely psychological or not it works.

It never hurts to know the ‘ins and outs’ of things so that you can give really thorough statistics, etc. when writing ad copy. The more actual facts you can come up with the better. Of course beyond yourself if you can cite other reputable sources such as studies that back up your contention, then all the better.

It just seems it is easier to get into the spirit of things if you are participating yourself. This really shows the universe that you believe in what you are doing enough so that you would buy it yourself! Being actively engaged in anything will affect the tone of everything you do. Being a user really gives you insight into how things work that you might not know otherwise.

It is just a natural to make ‘back-end’ sales to your customers, especially with things you are using yourself. For example if your main product is an affiliate program and you use a certain list builder to help you sell that program you have a natural ‘lead in’.

When your customers sign up for the program, you can contact them. Thank them for joining your team, offer your assistance if they need it, and discreetly mention that you are using XYZ List Builder and getting some great results that help you to succeed with your affiliate program. Then sign off with a link for them to click if they are interested.

There are a lot of people who really do not know what they are selling and it sometimes shows. This doesn’t mean if you are new and/or have no actual first-hand experience, that you can’t write ad copy for something. You can still quote others – experts in the field and the same studies mentioned for statistics. If you ‘read up’ on the subject – study the website, read all the documentation you can, you can still be convincing.

Whichever way you have to look at it, keep it real! (tell the truth).

Beware of a Possibly Tanking Affiliate Program

Stuff does happen. Websites can have technical problems. If they have a problem that they can’t quite nail down then it is difficult to know what to fix and the problems may be recurring for quite a while before they are able to fix it. So you can give them the benefit of the doubt if everything else seems to be ok. To a degree, but this must be reasonable, otherwise it may be a real red flag.

stay alert!

The same goes for customer service but only to a point. There are days when things are happening such as the above technical problems and there can even be days where there are multiple issues across the board that are affecting multiple members. This would be a reason that there is a true surge in requests for support and it can really throw everything into a backlog situation.

However in the first place a company should have announced an ETA (estimated time of arrival) – such as ‘We try to answer all requests within 48-hours’. So you know that up to 48-hours it is normal not to hear from them and starting to count from there then you can figure if there is some ‘extra’ problem. You should start sending more requests every 48-hours.

If it is really the norm that customer service is always slow and whether or not there is an ETA, let’s be generous and say 72-hours before we get concerned and start resubmitting requests. Poor customer support on a regular basis, really may be an indicator that all is not that well there – but it may just be they are stupid or inept. It really doesn’t usually indicate anything like fraud.

Now that is with the exception of refunds. There are companies that you have to contact over and over to get a refund. Sometimes when it is you that has made a mistake, you can guess it will take some time to get your money. However then there are some companies that will ‘accidentally’ do things like charging your account multiple times for the same fee. When they are advised of same they still take forever to give you your money back.

This would seem like a real red flag that this company is not reputable. In the first place they have a screwed up billing system – a really important function for any business. Add that to poor customer service because they have custody of your money and can’t be bothered to give it back quickly. There are actually scams where businesses do this regularly and earn interest on the money before refunding it.

If a business is late with money – whether it is your commissions, or a refund, this may indicate there is serious trouble either with their own financial situation or with their business ethics. It might be a really good idea to get out while you still have a chance of leaving with your money, rather than waiting for a total crash.

Remember most decent banks (credit cards, payment processors, etc) do have a way for you to file a dispute within a certain time limit – usually 30 to 60 days. You usually just need to prove you have tried to get your money back a few times with no response. The bank will take over and get your money for you. Don’t ignore the signs. Don’t be paranoid on the other-hand and do give the benefit of the doubt – up to a point.

Pursuing Careers Online

Particularly in the current economic climate, people are being displaced from their usual careers. The may use job recruiting websites that will help them find new opportunities. Available as well on the Internet are resources to help folks find low-cost and even free online training that may help them to improve their chances of finding a new job opportunity.

get a job

Displacement could be a golden opportunity to find out how existing skills and experience might translate for careers online from home. Of course the additional training mentioned above would also be applicable if it would help the chance for success to enhance their expertise.

Whatever your skill set thus far – be it technical, marketing, sales, management, administrative, or accounting, there are many opportunities either in finding new employment through online resources or starting your own business from home on the Internet.

Obviously you need some money to get out of being ‘between a rock and hard place’. Ideally you have some sort of benefits such as unemployment insurance or severance pay and even possibly savings that you can use to survive until you are able to secure another steady income. If not then the best way to go would be to try to find at least a part-time or temporary job to tide you over. Then you can use your spare time to look for a full-time job or to develop a home business opportunity.

Give yourself a few days to let this big life change sink in and get your bearings. Even if the separation was expected, it is still a shock. Rather than to allow yourself to be scared, which while normal is not very productive, psyche yourself up to move forward. This can be a positive change for you and one that you might not ever have made if you were not forced to!

Be aware of the fact that you are in control of your own destiny. This knowledge can be very empowering if you stop and think about it. Although you may take it for granted, it can be something we often forget when we get into the rut of long-term, stagnant employment. You are driving and it is up to you which way you go and how far.

Be very methodical in your approach. You will find that being organized is not only being professional but it really will help to calm you as you will feel that sense of control when you know where everything is. Treat finding a job or business the same as you would an actual job. Set your hours where you will do various things – for example have hours you will search the job boards for employment. If you can, schedule appointments or interviews and/or make calls or send emails in this regard. Of course you will need to get your resume together and this may be a little time consuming if you don’t have one to use as a ‘backbone’ to build on.

Make some time to look at ‘home business opportunities’ in a search engine like Google.com. Devote some energy to clicking the links to learn about the endless possibilities for starting your own business. Just get some examples of what they do and how it appears they do it. If you can find some programs to join free just as a research project if nothing else. You might find something that really jumps out and make some money.

Network Marketing Opportunities

Network marketing opportunities might fall under several different business models. For example, there are sales distributorships, aka independent consultants that sell tangible products. This is probably the most well-known and there are a number of very successful mega-billion dollar corporations that are ‘household words’.

networking

Encompassing both tangibles and intangibles, there are also multi-level marketing (MLM) businesses, which include many different online affiliate marketing programs. With this model people may earn money for referrals as well as by selling the product or service of the company to earn commissions.

The principal difference in the two business models above is that the distributorships focus on selling products, whereas MLM and affiliate marketing programs focus mainly on the business opportunity (referrals). Of course these referrals are made easier if the company has quality products and services and has a good reputation as a profitable opportunity for affiliates.

Participants in most network marketing opportunities are considered to be self-employed. This is an ideal situation because they can work for as many different companies as they prefer. The ‘multiple streams of income’ concept works very nicely in any case. Mainly this is due to the fact that there is no limit to how much money they can earn as there would be with an employee’s ‘salary’ or ‘wages’.

The other major reason having multiple streams of income is a very wise way to build a business, is that there can be a balance where if one company has slow sales for any period of time, it is not as detrimental to the bottom line in that the other companies may be doing fine or better.

Additionally, they do well with the concept of ‘multiple streams of income’ because you can technically earn money in multiple ways within each individual organization. With MLM and affiliate programs you can earn money from referrals as well as from selling the products. As you get more sophisticated you could actually have separate advertising that focuses on either.

With regard to any network marketing opportunities, take advantage of your associations in the various networks and use them wisely. You can “cross-promote” in your own organization or network by ‘back-end’ and ‘OTO’ (one-time-only) sales to your existing clients. That is once a customer buys your products or agrees to participate in a business opportunity you can invite them to follow you into some of your other opportunities.

Networking is always going to emphasize building relationships with people. Get to know your prospects and existing customers. Don’t ever be accused of ‘taking the money and run’ where they will say ‘I was very important until they got my money and now they have disappeared. I can’t get any help and at this point I just want a refund’. Stay in touch.
