Did You Know What Goes Around Comes Around

Never be afraid to share, regardless of if it is information or even money. Somebody must have given you the information you were seeking, right? Fortunate for you. Think of the difference if they had the attitude that they better not be so honest, because if they told you, you might beat them out of something. (competition vs friendship). Somebody taught you what they knew (shared) and hoped that maybe they had helped you.

Share!
Since mankind is not 100% evil, it may just be the case that you are lucky to meet someone who had been successful themselves and wanted to ‘share the wealth’. If they were really good, they may have felt that they needed to ‘give back’ to the universe some of the blessings that they had received. It’s a beautiful way to think, especially when compared to folks that figure ‘I got mine’ (so that is all that matters).

Something really amazing is when someone has been given some real breaks – tangible resources, training, content, etc. for free – and instead of being grateful, they would begrudge their benefactors from making money “off” of them. They would actually seem to go out of their way to do business with anyone but those that had gifted them. Is it some kind of foolish pride? Shallow competition or just plain cruelty?

It may be somewhat understandable when in direct competition to do all you can to ‘win’. It is also possible to have a ‘win/win’ situation where everybody helps everybody and all can benefit. If I am trying to teach you something and you are able to learn, then I succeeded. However if you refuse to learn then we both failed.

If I share something with you that someone shared with me, and you don’t pass it on to someone who is in a position to need it, as you were, then it just dies. Maybe somebody who would have benefited from the information will fail because they didn’t know. Will that make you more of a winner? Hardly.

That is the mindset of someone who doesn’t understand that ‘what goes around comes around’. Maybe when a door slams in his face he will get it. Good or bad – we never know when we will get what we have coming to us. It works both ways – the more good we do the more good we receive and the other way around. So be a winner and don’t be afraid to give it up. Share what you have and be thankful for all that you have been able to benefit from.

You Will Start a New Business – Or Will You Just Try?

When you make an emphatic statement to say you ‘will’ do something, you are being very positive. You are determined to do it and there is no possibility in your mind that you will not accomplish what you set out to do. However when you say you ‘will try’, that is very tentative. Maybe.

Know it
It implies you are not convinced that you can do whatever it is. We can’t know the future. We don’t know we will absolutely succeed without even a sliver of doubt. Therefore it is even more important to our mindset that we do not entertain any doubt because it may weaken our resolve.

When you are starting a new business everything is technically unknown – what do we need to do; how to do it; what techniques work best; what strategies have failed in the past, etc. If ‘seeing is believing’ then ’walking in faith’ must be believing in the unknown.

This is obviously more difficult to accomplish. We really need to have mental discipline. We need to figure out how to stay motivated through long ‘dry’ periods where we may not see any results or have any indication that what we are doing is going to work.

We must believe in our self. We must know that we can do whatever we try hard enough to do. The only way to look at it is If we have had failures in the past then it may help to analyze them to see what you may have done to create that result – or more likely didn’t do. What can you do different next time?

It is best to write things down so that they are better able to help you to focus on the issue. You can see it in front of you. Lists can really help you when making a decision or analyzing something. You can have a list with a straight line right down the middle of a piece of paper. List positive and negative issues – or causes and effects listed together.

Remember, the first step to success is believing in your own abilities. You will learn how to overcome any obstacle . You will learn how to do things you didn’t know how to do until you encountered them, and you will be able to sort things out after giving things and maybe their alternatives a fair chance.

Your Vision for Your Work At Home Business Online

Visualization is much more than imagination. We need to take action to bring your ideas to reality. It’s only real that the average person has little reason to believe there is such a thing as wealth without work. Legal and ethical strategies at least, so that is why you need to put your ideas into action.

can you see what it could be?
It may be fun to day dream, but it can be counter-productive. When we have not defined achievable goals, we can quickly have our hopes dashed. You have probably heard the expressions to ‘aim high’ and ‘dream big’. However if we set such lofty goals that they may be impossible to achieve at this point in our business’ development, this can become discouraging. This is exaggerated if the person really thinks they can earn money instantly by magic or osmosis, and what a crashing disappointment when they find out nothing could be further from the truth.

Like most budding online home business entrepreneurs, there may be lots of false starts. Until we create a real plan with reasonable expectations, we are just wasting time and resources – ‘spinning our wheels’. We need to get real. Ask yourself if your plan is feasible at this time, considering your skill-set, financial position, and available time.

The ‘key to success is to stay in the game’. There won’t even be a slim chance of success if we have given up on making it happen. However, if we can just keep trying, even though we have not actually achieved anything tangible, there is still a chance things will start improving eventually. If we quit too soon, we will never know what we might have achieved.

If you need something that provides a commitment, such as a job where you work X number of hours for X dollars, then get a job, or a second job. However if you want to see how far you can go, you may have to take a risk that your time and effort will result in a greater reward than you can expect within the business model that provides the structure of having a job with guaranteed pay.

If we want our own business enough that we are willing to endure almost anything within reason to achieve it, then we will eventually find a way to make it happen. While it is important to take action while we are feeling inspired, we need to remember to be realistic both about what we need to do and what we can logically expect to achieve. If we can work within those parameters, we will have the foundation for a successful home business.1.

Building a Home Business – Learn How to Do Things Yourself

It may seem convenient to have someone else do things that you are not sure how to do. However it is much better to learn how to do things for yourself. We are not talking about building a space ship (“rocket science”). We are merely talking about very basic technical things for your website or your membership program.

U R in control
Even if you could afford to hire technical support to do them for you, you will not be as well off as if you learned how to do it yourself. Somewhere in your program, in your hosting account, or in a search engine, you will find directions on how to do just about anything you need to do.

If you get used to shuffling off anything you do not know how to do, then you will never learn how to run your business completely. If you pay someone else to do it you will never learn. If you have a high volume of work and little time, then it is understandable.

However, it would be wise to ask your support to write some simple instructions for you (and pay extra if necessary) when they do your work. This way you are not tied to paying for support and never quite knowing what is going on. To be real you should actually know how everything in your business is done, whether or not you have support. You should have written procedures that anyone can follow, ‘just in case’.

Particularly if you have not been happy in your career, you will have a great time calling yourself ‘the boss’. Maybe you will also enjoy procrastinating as long as you can if you have nobody to push your work off on; but you can’t carry this too far. You being the boss are the one who is responsible for your business whether you have support or not.

You never can tell — you may come up with some new innovations on how to do things in a more efficient, more accurate way. You must learn how things are done presently or on average before you could see a different perspective where you may improve the procedure. Don’t forget to update your written procedures when you change anything throughout all stages of your home business’ development.

Working From Home – Taking Small Risks

Risking our money is not something that everybody can do with the same ease. For various reasons including past experience and even just the reality of having limited funds, people sometimes really are reluctant to gamble with their money.

make it
It is wise to consider your situation when determining if you can take a small risk. However it is really true that many times unless you can ‘afford’ to take the risk you will have nothing but the same-old-same-old. So there is a point to ponder. Living life in general is taking a risk as you never know what the outcome of anything will be, including just walking out the door.

It probably stands to reason then that biting off your risks in small chunks will likely work best for most people. Where we are referring to a home business opportunity, you can really get an educated guess as to whether or not it is a wise investment. You can read all about the company on their website and read reviews from others. You can contact the company with questions.

Although reviews are useful for most things, you must consider that there are a lot of haters out there and just plain ignorant folks who may try to damage a program or product just because they didn’t like it. That they didn’t like it or do anything to make it work has almost nothing to do with the product. This is why you should read many reviews in different places if you are going to use this method to do your due diligence.

… and of course the other side, keeping in mind that the website is going to sing the praises and overlook things that are less than stellar about the program or product. However keep in mind particularly with affiliate programs and products where the financial risk is extremely small, that it won’t be the end of the world if you make a mistake. Almost 100% of the opportunities in this genre have no contracts beyond month-to-month. The risk is low in every respect.

If you happen to lose a few dollars, don’t let it stop you from trying again someday. If you have to let enough time go by that you feel that you can afford another possible small loss, take as much time as you need. As part of this effort maybe next time decide to invest more time and effort to make something work out. There are very few things that just blossom on their own – even the top earning programs.

Working at Home – Exceeding Expectations

When you work for a corporation you usually have annual performance evaluations. To pass, stay in good graces and perhaps earn a reasonable raise in salary one must just ‘meet expectations’. However if you are someone who excels then you may earn a ranking where you ’exceed expectations’.

Go the extra mile
This is usually gained by someone who really tries to go that extra mile. They make it clear they are not just there taking up a chair for 8-hours a day. They may volunteer to take on extra duties and they may, if there are numeric benchmarks for example do more than what is required without being asked to.This person usually receives a larger raise and/or bonus.

So this should be a model for you in your own home business. The ‘reward’ for extra effort is hopefully increased sales volume; and to be considered as having excellent customer service. Customer service would include both your service to customers as well as to members if you have your own program.

You might take a few minutes right now and try to envision the times where you felt valued by the way a customer service agent treated you – either in transacting a sale, in making an inquiry, or resolving a problem. You might list those things that impressed you about the interaction as well as what might have turned you off.

In the future try to remember what felt good and apply it to your transactions as a rule of thumb. It can honestly be as insignificant sounding as saying ‘have a nice day’ after you thank them for the sale, or just for contacting you about something. However what is just as important as being friendly, is being accurate and efficient.

Nobody likes to sit on the phone and listen to the phone bot over and over again or to wait days for a response to an email inquiry that shouldn’t take longer than 24-hours. This is very important as you do not want to have people who dread contacting your company for any reason because they remember how inconvenient (or downright unpleasant) it was last time.

Don’t get the idea that whatever you are selling will rise above any mere manners or professionalism. They are all part of your ‘package’. Remember no matter how obnoxious (impatient, rude and/or entitled) the customer is, that you wouldn’t have a business without them. Sometimes you will need to ‘byte’ your tongue to get through it, but just think about the bottom line which is making the sale or satisfying the customer.

Home Biz Issues – Why Do People Procrastinate?

Procrastination really is something that people should try to avoid. However it seems like a given with many people. They seem incapable of sticking to a schedule or in doing things in a timely way. It is so pervasive that it appears they need the pressure of always being late or behind in order to do the task at all.

deadlines are real

There are some things that may not be obvious that we can get away with up to a certain degree. It is only when there are actual deadlines that it becomes apparent to our customers and peers that we are disorganized to the point where we are rude and you may wonder why you are doing business with this person.

Obviously this is not something you want people to remember about your service. However if it is something that you do as a rule and not an exception, you can bet you are building a bad reputation. If you want to stick to your sloppy ways, then don’t mind when people choose your competitors instead of you when it Is time to make a choice.

It is not just a matter of being on time so that you don’t inconvenience others when you ignore deadlines, but also the fact that after a while people begin to wonder how anything you do can be trusted. If you are organized and efficient yourself then it is much more important to you when you are repeatedly disappointed by dubious procedure. You realize that having a clear mind is important and comes from being organized rather than always in a state of chaos.

It may be the case with certain personality types that they can be brilliant and creative, yet as far as business goes, slobs. Maybe with real artists they can get away with a certain level of being ‘untogether’.

Another good excuse would be if the product was particularly brilliant. People would be more willing to put up with some level of inefficiency in order to get the product regardless. However you never know when the person will cross over to being insulted enough to just walk away.

Home Biz Issues – Being Consistent

Sometimes we have been careless or lax with the way we conduct our relationships with our members and peers. When we start getting negative feedback, or we notice that it is starting to get pervasive, we decide to ‘turn over a new leaf’.

keep it up
We resign ourselves to the fact that we need to do better at delivering our services. You know, when we realize we need to treat people with respect and courtesy if we want to keep them on our team. Well, apologies go a long way as do any refunds or other adjustments we may have to make to atone for our bad business behavior.

However if we are really going to make any lasting improvements we are going to need to be consistent. That means getting it together and keeping it together. It shouldn’t be next month when the same mistakes happen and the same things ‘fall through the cracks’.

It is not the job of the customer to be constantly reminding us of what we are supposed to know to do – It’s like ‘clockwork’. So just making incremental improvements that keep falling apart is really not going to work either. Again it is not the customer’s responsibility to remind us of what we should know we always have to keep straight.

It can be likened to always being late with financial responsibilities or always being late or absent when we make appointments. The hilt of this insult is when we don’t even bother to apologize. It just doesn’t get much more insulting than that.

You can bet your bottom dollar (and it just may be that one) that you will start to see an exodus of your customers who do not have time to run your business for you. So what you need is to clean up your act and be consistent about staying that way.

Get a Major Clue – You Have Things to Do

How long can you really put off doing what you know you need to do to keep your home business running and healthy? Will you wait until it needs artificial life support? This could cost you big time if you want to rescue it. It would seem a lot smarter just to do what you know you need to do.

just do it!
This really means building momentum by being fairly aggressive with your marketing and advertising. No money? Find another way. Get smart and use your blog. Whether or not it is a part of your website, or even if it is only linked. Be sure to do one or the other so that it will draw targeted traffic to your lead capture mechanisms.

Just as important if not more so is to compel the search engines to index your site and start to give you a ranking so that people can see your links when they search.

Spend a little free time doing some new keyword research and make some swipe files so that you have a ready list of keywords to use in your blog posts, articles, ads, etc. It is time well-spent and again it is absolutely free so no excuses about no resources.

If you are really seeing a deficit in traffic and sales then you may even consider doing some ‘old school’ free things like posting a few text ads and/or banners in traffic exchanges. Even though they may have a low conversion rate, spend the time. One sale is better than none and could actually eventually represent something substantial if you find a good prospect.

There are numerous bulletin boards and other places you can place ads if you really look for them. This includes simple things like adding a link under your signature when you post to a forum or social network. Again they may not have the greatest conversion rates but it beats doing nothing and may actually lead to something because you have got to do what you have to do, one way or the other.

Start an Online Business – Promise Yourself You Will Succeed

Whenever there is an opportunity to really excel and transcend whatever plain of existence you find yourself living on, why not go for it? It may be a very true statement that being ‘half-baked’ about anything has a half-way chance of winning or failing. Not great odds but still better than no chance at all.

do it!

If you have a computer at home and a decent Internet connection, you have a good chance for success. Of course the computer and/or the Internet will not do the work you need to do to accomplish anything; so let’s add real motivation and a dedication to making an effort to succeed. We are just ‘over the top’ on the success side!

Enough emphasis however can’t be given to the necessary time and effort that must also be invested in order to develop a business online. Time referenced here, refers to research and the learning curve, and taking action to implement what you have learned. The biggest time factor though that people seem to miss the point on is allowing time to produce the results.

Their main focus seems to be that there were no commissions in the first month (common) and they have created an artifcial deadline – didn’t see anything in 30-days and now there may be another monthly fee so just abandon it – so wrong.

It is not instant or magical that you put up a link on the Internet and send out a couple ads once or twice. There must be millions of those half-baked businesses online; it’s sad. Success and accomplishing your goals are about the actions you take consistently over TIME. You must always be building momentum by continuing to advertise and market your business whether sales are soaring or sinking!

If there is any money to be spent you can find ways to save your time and effort by purchasing various services. If not, then you will need to do things for yourself. Either way if you do, it will lead to success. Could be sooner or could be later. It can still happen if you have an organized plan and stick to it – or change it if it doesn’t appear to be producing any results. (give it plenty of time before you decide).

Be sure to tell yourself each and every day when you sit down at your computer that you are there to succeed. There isn’t going to be any excuses why you don’t because you will just keep trying!
