Did You Know What Goes Around Comes Around

Never be afraid to share, regardless of if it is information or even money. Somebody must have given you the information you were seeking, right? Fortunate for you. Think of the difference if they had the attitude that they better not be so honest, because if they told you, you might beat them out of something. (competition vs friendship). Somebody taught you what they knew (shared) and hoped that maybe they had helped you.

Share!
Since mankind is not 100% evil, it may just be the case that you are lucky to meet someone who had been successful themselves and wanted to ‘share the wealth’. If they were really good, they may have felt that they needed to ‘give back’ to the universe some of the blessings that they had received. It’s a beautiful way to think, especially when compared to folks that figure ‘I got mine’ (so that is all that matters).

Something really amazing is when someone has been given some real breaks – tangible resources, training, content, etc. for free – and instead of being grateful, they would begrudge their benefactors from making money “off” of them. They would actually seem to go out of their way to do business with anyone but those that had gifted them. Is it some kind of foolish pride? Shallow competition or just plain cruelty?

It may be somewhat understandable when in direct competition to do all you can to ‘win’. It is also possible to have a ‘win/win’ situation where everybody helps everybody and all can benefit. If I am trying to teach you something and you are able to learn, then I succeeded. However if you refuse to learn then we both failed.

If I share something with you that someone shared with me, and you don’t pass it on to someone who is in a position to need it, as you were, then it just dies. Maybe somebody who would have benefited from the information will fail because they didn’t know. Will that make you more of a winner? Hardly.

That is the mindset of someone who doesn’t understand that ‘what goes around comes around’. Maybe when a door slams in his face he will get it. Good or bad – we never know when we will get what we have coming to us. It works both ways – the more good we do the more good we receive and the other way around. So be a winner and don’t be afraid to give it up. Share what you have and be thankful for all that you have been able to benefit from.

Some Important Internet Marketing Skills

If you are going to start an online business there are a number of Internet marketing skills that should be acquired. Many of these skills are important for success in any industry. Many are developed within, such as determination and motivation. You need self-confidence and a desire for accomplishment.

Do it Right!
Anybody doing anything anywhere needs the ability to stay positive. There may be periods especially in the beginning where business is slow or non-existent just yet. You need a strong mindset to keep yourself from becoming discouraged during these times. The situation should make you try harder rather to give up or slack off because ‘what is the use’.

Being capable of remaining focused is a huge internet marketing skill – and usually needed for anything where you hope to accomplish something specific. Chaos can be a prevalent atmosphere in business. One can be totally overwhelmed especially if they were not organized before the chaos set in. Organization is one of those skills that you need for practically anything.

Being organized is almost required, particularly for someone who is trying to navigate anything new. It is best when you are trying to focus on something that you remove other unrelated things from your space so that they do not distract you.

Planning is very important and is a big part of being organized and helping you to focus on what needs to be done. Just as people use maps so that they know which way to go, planning will save you so much time because you won’t need to do as much trial and error.

Writing is a key Internet marketing skill. You will need to write for advertising, email marketing , networking with peers, prospects and customers, and blogging to promote your business online. It is important that you express yourself clearly especially because you probably don’t have the opportunity to explain what you mean in a live conversation as you would if you were in retail or offline.

The last thing you need to close a sale is an important question they have before they make the purchase. If it requires back and forth emails or calls to ask and answer a question, it can mean they will just move on to something that is less trouble or that they can do right now.

Under no circumstances should you cave to your inclination to say you can’t or won’t write. You need to figure out how if that is the way you feel, or be willing to pay for writers. In the long run money concerns aside, it is to your own benefit to do things for yourself. In any case, be very friendly and responsive in your communications with prospects, customers and peers.

Home-Based Business Start-Up – Maintaining a Mindset for Success

When we are making a final determination as to whether we could set up a successful home business we should really ask ourselves the following.

keep a stiff upper lip
If we were our own boss, would we really do the work we need to do? Will we keep working diligently even though at first (and maybe for quite some time) we will not be paid? Will we be able to keep investing our time and effort and maybe a few dollars into our business for an extended period without seeing any return on investment? Will we be able to keep from feeling discouraged through this period?

You will need to be down in the trenches until you get everything set up, including some trial and error. The ‘magic sauce’ doesn’t sound very glamorous from this vantage point, does it? This is why you have to maintain a positive mindset. The work and sacrifice are exactly what makes the difference between make it or break it and not just at start-up but going forward as well.

So there is no point in wasting your time and other resources to start something you won’t be able to finish. That is why it is such a good idea for you to explore the possibilities first. Don’t forget that there are some business models that you may like more than others. So try a few on for size before you decide.

Also think about the goals you want to achieve if you do go into creating a home business. Do you just want to supplement your income with some extra cash? Do you actually badly need to bring in more income as what your job provides is not sufficient for a nice lifestyle?

Did you lose your job and now need to find a way to support yourself? (In this case it is probably advisable to get at least another part-time job first ) and work on your business start-up part-time (unless you have savings, severance pay, and/or unemployment insurance to tide you over). You have to have living expenses while you are developing your business.

Contrary to popular wishful thinking, starting a business is not going to generate income immediately. It needs to be developed over time with lots of effort. Just think logically – if we could send out 10 emails and then sit back and wait for the cash to roll in, why wouldn’t we all do it? The answer is because nothing like that exists (legally). It is more like 100’s of emails on a consistent basis over time that might produce some cash.

So do you think you can do it? I bet you can if you can maintain a mindset that is determined and motivated.

You Will Start a New Business – Or Will You Just Try?

When you make an emphatic statement to say you ‘will’ do something, you are being very positive. You are determined to do it and there is no possibility in your mind that you will not accomplish what you set out to do. However when you say you ‘will try’, that is very tentative. Maybe.

Know it
It implies you are not convinced that you can do whatever it is. We can’t know the future. We don’t know we will absolutely succeed without even a sliver of doubt. Therefore it is even more important to our mindset that we do not entertain any doubt because it may weaken our resolve.

When you are starting a new business everything is technically unknown – what do we need to do; how to do it; what techniques work best; what strategies have failed in the past, etc. If ‘seeing is believing’ then ’walking in faith’ must be believing in the unknown.

This is obviously more difficult to accomplish. We really need to have mental discipline. We need to figure out how to stay motivated through long ‘dry’ periods where we may not see any results or have any indication that what we are doing is going to work.

We must believe in our self. We must know that we can do whatever we try hard enough to do. The only way to look at it is If we have had failures in the past then it may help to analyze them to see what you may have done to create that result – or more likely didn’t do. What can you do different next time?

It is best to write things down so that they are better able to help you to focus on the issue. You can see it in front of you. Lists can really help you when making a decision or analyzing something. You can have a list with a straight line right down the middle of a piece of paper. List positive and negative issues – or causes and effects listed together.

Remember, the first step to success is believing in your own abilities. You will learn how to overcome any obstacle . You will learn how to do things you didn’t know how to do until you encountered them, and you will be able to sort things out after giving things and maybe their alternatives a fair chance.

Starting a Business – Remember to be Thankful for what you Have

It is very important to have the right mindset no matter what you do – even getting up in the morning. If you get up on the ‘bright side’ expecting good things, you will very likely attract them or at least stay in a good mood. Conversely if you get up with a chip on your shoulder or some issue that you are upset about it is likely to hinder your efforts all day long.

be greatful

So on top of having a positive, open mindset it is also important to really get over things that are bothering you. Listen if it was a person or circumstance that has offended you they/it has likely forgotten it and has moved on. It is only impeding you. Why do that? Not saying they deserve your forgiveness or what they did wasn’t offensive and hurtful.

Just saying that whatever it is unless you get past it somehow, it will only poison you. So again, why do that to yourself? In place of the ‘black cloud’ push it out consciously and replace it with a nice bright shiny sky. Then remember to feel thankful for your good mood. If you need to sit and enumerate all of your good fortune each day it will be well worth it if it helps you.

We take so much for granted and really there are many millions of people in the world who are not as fortunate as we are. Even if we have to start there to realize how lucky we really are then do it. Did you wake up in a nice cozy, warm bed? Thank you. Do you have food and water? Thank you. Are you going to get ready for your day and put on some decent clothes? Thank you. Did you have something to eat for breakfast? Thank you.

Now that we are up we can talk business. If you are starting a business from home you may be putting forth lots of effort and not seeing any results yet. Thank you for your efforts. Please realize it is only reality that is keeping the results from reality. It is perfectly normal to start a business and really trying, but you are not actually seeing any return on your investment yet.

if you are one that can actually focus on your home business enough to make progress, one day you will actually see the rewards for your efforts. Thank you in advance. Realize there is no magic, no instant success except very rarely.

Think about the word ‘EARN’ and income – think about what that involves – investing your effort on a consistent basis, really remaining focused on your business as much as you can, keeping it up over the long-term. Thank you that you have this opportunity. It may also help to Thank in advance for your future accomplishments! Set the scene! Get ready to glow!
